When walking the path of Self Realization we encounter two aspects.
The first one is non attachment also called dispassion and the second one is practice. The more we practice the more we achieve non attachment. Our minds become more clear of imprints or memories and we are able to live a pleasant life without turmoil and egotistical reactions to what we used to believe as mine or yours.
This way we step out of the constant duality, good, bad, right wrong, pain and pleasure. This is the way in which we walk the Path of Yoga.
Abhyasa and vairagya, practice and non attachment lead us to the Truth.

Giving selflessly is the highest expression of love . Those who are able to give without attachment are able to experience true happiness giving all they have for the benefit of others. They use a little bit of what is left for their own existence and they continue giving the rest to others. As nature does , the raindrop sacrifices itself and becomes part of the plant , the sun gives its energy to give light and life to all beings. The rain that nourished the plants, herbs, and all sorts of food for human beings is a free gift from providence. The entire Universe is a gift, and it continues giving of itself for all.
That is what I call love.

Inspire by my Spiritual Master
There are many Paths to Self- Realization but the four principal ones are:
Karma Yoga – The Yoga of Action
Bhakti Yoga – The Yoga of Devotion
Jnana Yoga – The Yoga of Knowledge and Discrimination
Raja Yoga – The Royal Path
Raja Yoga includes the teachings of all different Paths and it concerns itself with three dimensions or realms :
-Physical
-Mental
-Spiritual
When we master Raja Yoga , we achieve mastering of the three realms, leading us to Self-Realization. The origins of Raja Yoga are unknown, but they are considered Teaching’s of Divine Origin.
It is a true Gift to be able to practice Raja Yoga or also called Astanga_Yoga.

So much confusion with Astanga_Yoga. Nowadays so many people talks about going to Astanga_Yoga classes. Do we really now what we are talking about when we say Astanga_Yoga?
This is the Yoga of the 8 Limbs or 8 angas or also called Raja Yoga or the Royal Path.
Those 8 angas are:
5 Yamas (prescriptions about what should I do)
5 Niyamas(proscriptions about what what I should not do)
Asanas or Yoga Postures
Pranayama or control of Prana, Life Force energy
Pratyahara or withdrawal of senses to achieve a tranquil mind
Dharana or concentration which helps the mind to become one pointed
Dhyana or meditation which is the result of the practice of the above anga
Samadhi is the state of Self Realization where the mind is transcended and becomes aware of the Self and unites with it.
This state is characterized by:
SAT CHIT ANANADA
Existence, consciousness and bliss – The Ultimate Reality.
Raja Yoga leads to the Ultimate Truth, it teaches us how to be and encourages healthy discrimination leading to liberation confirming the hypothesis that mankind’s True Nature is Divine.
Is this the kind of Astanga_Yoga that you practice?
Raja Yoga help us to deal with conflicts and frustrations in our modern society. We can also realize of our full potential for creative thought and action, transcending all human limitations and realizing our True Nature.

What to do to regulate our emotional life so we can grow? How to expand our consciousness?
The less developed our consciousness is, the more we get caught up in unpleasant emotional states. The more we expand our awareness, our emotional life becomes more balanced so that anger, jealousy, depression and guilt begin to disappear. The energy we once used for those emotions becomes purified and transforms into peace, joy, love and compassion. Let’s transform ourselves.
