When walking the path of Self Realization we encounter two aspects.
The first one is non attachment also called dispassion and the second one is practice. The more we practice the more we achieve non attachment. Our minds become more clear of imprints or memories and we are able to live a pleasant life without turmoil and egotistical reactions to what we used to believe as mine or yours.
This way we step out of the constant duality, good, bad, right wrong, pain and pleasure. This is the way in which we walk the Path of Yoga.
Abhyasa and vairagya, practice and non attachment lead us to the Truth.

Giving selflessly is the highest expression of love . Those who are able to give without attachment are able to experience true happiness giving all they have for the benefit of others. They use a little bit of what is left for their own existence and they continue giving the rest to others. As nature does , the raindrop sacrifices itself and becomes part of the plant , the sun gives its energy to give light and life to all beings. The rain that nourished the plants, herbs, and all sorts of food for human beings is a free gift from providence. The entire Universe is a gift, and it continues giving of itself for all.
That is what I call love.

Even the finest men can sink into the depths of sorrow. There are many examples of great Yogis who experienced moments of grief and sorrow during which they lost touch with the higher reality and became overwhelmed by the strong power of mundane attachments.
Sorrow, infatuation and other emotions weaken the body and take away the physical strength of a healthy person. The history of mankind is a testimony that infatuation for alcohol, an imbalanced attitude toward sexuality and other addictions weaken the human strength.
The endocrine glands react instantly to stressful situations, and so during the state of anxiety and depression, certain symptoms are noticed. Dryness of the mouth occurs when the salivary glands do not secrete sufficiently . When receiving news about someone we love , the shock can make us cry, the body might begin to tremble. Evenness of breath and the motion of the lungs , which play a vital role in the regulation of the body are disturbed. The heart beat becomes irregular and the blood supply to the brain is inadequate. These are only some of the ways that infatuations and emotions interfere with the body’s normal responses and have the power to create and imbalance in the body.
Because of such and emotional imbalance the body begins to build up toxins and the pores loose the capacity to expel toxic build up. This disturbs the equilibrium in two systems of the human body, the systems that purifies and cleanses the body ( pores, lungs, kidneys and bowels ) and the systems that nourishes the body ( liver, spleen, heart, brain ).
When we get caught up in attachments and emotions we loose the mental and emotional equilibrium and we loose touch with the source and strength within.
Human weaknesses are very dangerous and destroy human endeavor if they are not put aside and if they are not dealt with using inner strength and pure reason. Attachment and addiction both lead to emotional and physical suffering.
Many mental and physical disorders are the result of attachment to objects of the world. If the object of attachment becomes threatened, one becomes afraid and because of the fear of loosing the object , one looses mental balance. An imbalanced mind is the source of much misery and attachment is the cause of all misery.

When we learn to meditate we become internal explorer and investigators, we study our reactions and the processes of the mind, on conscious and unconscious levels. We are the internal researchers. Meditation helps us to fully know and understand all the capacities of the mind, memory, concentration, emotion, reasoning and intuition. Through meditation we begin to understand how to coordinate , balance, and enhance all these capabilities, using them to their fullest potential.
We need the burning desire to know our own True potential.
